The two things a boarding facility does that the app could not record: taking money for a stay, and giving an animal its medicine.
Money at the counter
- A stay can be paid for. Check-out shows what is owed and takes it — cash, a check, or a card on your own terminal — recorded against the stay and the client, with a receipt you can print.
- The payment is recorded before the animal is marked away, so if something goes wrong it goes wrong while the stay is still open rather than after cash has changed hands.
- The day's takings count stay payments alongside POS sales.
Medication
- Every dose is recorded — given, skipped or refused — with the amount, the time and the member of staff who gave it. A dose that was not given carries a reason. It records what PACFA rule 19.9.4 describes.
- The screen leads with when each medication last went in, not with the form. Somebody who cannot see that the morning tablet was already given is the person who gives a second one.
- A dose record cannot be edited or deleted. A mis-entry is voided, with a reason, and both the entry and the correction stay readable.
The desk
- The stays nobody arrived for have their own list, with your own no-show fee recorded as owed when you mark one. They used to sit among today's expected arrivals on one screen and disappear at midnight on the other.
- The setup wizard waits for your facility to arrive before it will finish, so a new device cannot run setup again over a facility that already has one.
Bookings that tell the truth
- Booking a household checks every animal against the run type it actually needs, and says the shortfall: “Only 1 of 2 places free”.
- The edit dialog prices with your holiday rates and counts only the kennels in service, and an edit that overbooks needs a reason — the same as the booking form.
- Saving an edit no longer undoes a check-in that arrived from another terminal while the form was open.
Your records
- A restore can no longer roll the facility back. Restored rows used to overwrite newer data and set the clock backwards, so other devices never saw the change.
- A booking's history, and the reasons a stay was overbooked or cancelled, moved somewhere a pet owner cannot read. They were on a document the owner of that pet is allowed to read.
- An invite can no longer be retargeted at another facility.
Plans
- Entry now covers 5 staff logins, Pro Resort 25, and Enterprise as many as you need. Nobody is billed per user.
- Volunteers do not use a seat. A volunteer can check animals in and out and write report cards, but can't touch prices, payments, settings or deletions.
What this release still can’t do
- Taking a card inside the app is not built yet. This release records cash, a check, or a card you put through your own terminal.
- Medication is a record, not a schedule. You can log what was given; you cannot yet enter a dosing schedule, see a “due now” board, or print a daily med sheet. The feeding log is the same story.
- Kennel cards are not built.
- A payment recorded by mistake cannot be voided from the screen yet.
- The export file does not yet include incident reports, payments, the medication record or the booking history. The backup holds all of them.
- Some staff names are still on the booking itself, which the pet's owner can read: who cancelled a stay or checked it in, and who changed its price, with the reason.
- A volunteer is shown Settle balance and the medication log, but what they record there stays on that one device.
- Email is not live yet: report cards go out from your own mail client. Text messages are built but off.
- The desktop installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows warns the first time. The portable build cannot update itself.
