Kennel software that runs on your computer.

Bookings, the run board, client and pet records, waivers and report cards live on the machine at your front desk and sync to the cloud when it’s there. When the internet drops, check-ins keep moving. You connect your own Stripe, Square or PayPal, so nobody takes a cut of your payments.

30 days free, no card. The demo is a full sample facility: no account, nothing to install.

What's different

Three things the big platforms can't say.

Not features — the shape of the thing. Each one is a decision that was made before the first line of code, and each one is checkable.

It runs on your machine.

Every record lives on the computer at your front desk and opens the moment you click it. The cloud keeps your other devices in step and holds a backup — it is not in the path between you and your own data.

Internet down? Check-ins, bookings and the run board keep working. Sync catches up when it’s back.

How local-first worksThe front desk computer holds the records and keeps working offline. Changes wait in a sync queue, which sends them to a cloud copy when the internet is there. Nobody skims your payments.

You connect the Stripe, Square or PayPal account you already have. You pay that processor’s published rate — and nothing to us on top. The subscription is the whole price.

Some cloud platforms take a percentage of every card payment.

One developer. No investors.

ResortKeeper is built by one person, on purpose. No board waiting on a return, no growth team inventing new fees. That’s why the price is flat and why a bug report gets an answer from the person who wrote the code.

If terms ever change, existing shops keep the deal they signed up under.

“I’ve hand-coded websites for kennel clubs and pet businesses since 2000. ResortKeeper is what I’d want running the front desk if it were my building.”

The product

Six screens, in the order your day runs.

Every frame below is the real application running a sample facility — not a mockup, not a rendering. Both themes are the same build, so the screen you use at 6am in a dark kennel block is the screen you use at noon.

ResortKeeper's dashboard showing arrivals, departures, in-house guests, kennel capacity and revenue by service.

Arrivals, departures and in-house across the top, kennel occupancy split by dog and cat, revenue by service, and a morning briefing written from your own numbers — the things you'd otherwise walk the building to count.

Real screens · sample facility data · no real client, pet or signature

Switching from a cloud platform?

What actually changes.

Patterns, not names — every vendor is different and prices move. If yours doesn't do one of these, good.

Where your records live

ResortKeeper

Typical cloud platform
On the vendor's servers. You get a browser tab.

When the internet drops

ResortKeeper
The front desk keeps working. Sync resumes when it's back.
Typical cloud platform
The front desk stops until it's back.

Card payments

ResortKeeper
Your own Stripe, Square or PayPal. We take 0% of the volume.
Typical cloud platform
Often a built-in processor with a platform percentage on top.

What the price is

ResortKeeper
$49, $99 or $199 a month. Flat. No seat fees.
Typical cloud platform
Tiers plus per-user seats, and annual increases.

Leaving

ResortKeeper

Typical cloud platform
An export request, a queue, sometimes a fee.

Who answers

ResortKeeper
The developer. Same person who fixes it.
Typical cloud platform
A support tier, sometimes behind a higher plan.

Bringing records over: every plan includes a self-serve importer for spreadsheets and common exports. If you’d rather a person did it, hands-on migration and staff training are what the Enterprise plan is for — ask about it here.

Pricing

Flat monthly price. No seat fees, no percentage.

Pick the size of your operation. Every plan runs the same local-first engine, includes every module, and takes nothing from your card volume.

Who builds this

One developer. On purpose.

One developer — Brian Brixon in Colorado Springs — who has hand-coded websites for kennel clubs and pet businesses since 2000. No investors, no sales team. That’s a deliberate choice, and it’s why support comes from the person who wrote the code.

No acquisition exit, no growth team hunting for new fees to invent — which means no one to answer to except the shops that use it. The overhead stays low so the price stays flat.

“What if you get hit by a bus?” Fair question for a one-person company. Your records are on your own machine and exportable at any time, so the software going away could never take your data with it.

Support email is answered by the person who wrote the code.

About ResortKeeper →

Founding beta

Run it first. Tell me what breaks. Pay less.

I'm taking a small founding group of working facilities before general release. You run ResortKeeper as your real daily software, I fix what you find, and your rate reflects the help — confirmed in writing before you commit to anything.

Active-feedback rewards

  • Entry plan — free for 12 months ($588 value)
  • Pro Resort — 50% off for 12 months ($49.50/mo instead of $99)

Active feedback means a short monthly check-in and reporting the issues you actually hit. Testers who go above and beyond can earn a founding rate for the life of the product — the full terms arrive in your acceptance email, in plain English.

  • Small cohort, reviewed by hand
  • Direct line to the developer — replies within two business days
  • Your data stays yours — export any time

Straight answers. Where the software has a limit, it says so.

Can I look at it before I sign up for anything?
Yes. Open the live demo and you're in a full sample facility — Cedar Ridge, 27 dog runs and 8 cat condos, a week of bookings, waivers, report cards, a till. No account, no email, nothing to install. Change whatever you like; it lives on your own device and resets when you ask it to. When you're ready, the 30-day trial is your own facility with your own data, and it doesn't need a card either.
What happens when the internet goes out?
Nothing, at the front desk. Records are stored on the computer in front of you, so check-ins, bookings, the run board and client lookups keep working. Changes queue up and sync to the cloud when the connection is back. The parts that genuinely need the internet — card payments, sending email — wait until then.
Do you take a percentage of my payments?
No. You connect your own Stripe, Square or PayPal account and pay that processor's published rate. ResortKeeper's price is the monthly subscription and nothing else. The fee calculator on the pricing page shows what a platform percentage would otherwise cost you.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, from inside the app, any time — the Export Data button on the dashboard writes out your facility's records as a file you keep. Your data is on your own machine to begin with; the cloud holds a copy for backup and to keep your other devices in step. If you cancel, the cloud copy is deleted 90 days later.
What does it run on?
Any modern browser, installed to the home screen on iPad and iPhone, and as a native Windows desktop app. A Mac desktop build is not available yet — Mac users run it in Safari or Chrome. Details on the download page.
We're on another system. How do we move?
Every plan includes a self-serve importer that takes spreadsheets and the common exports. If you'd rather a person did it — mapping your fields, checking the result, training your staff — that's the Enterprise plan. Either way, ask through the form above and you'll get a specific plan back for your data.
Will the price go up on me?
Not on a plan you're already on. If terms change, they change for new signups; existing facilities keep the deal they signed up under. There are no per-seat fees to creep up either.
Who is behind this?
One developer — Brian Brixon in Colorado Springs — who has hand-coded websites for kennel clubs and pet businesses since 2000. No investors, no sales team. That's a deliberate choice, and it's why support comes from the person who wrote the code.
What if you get hit by a bus?
Fair question for a one-person company. Your records are on your own machine and exportable at any time, so the software going away could never take your data with it. A founder license — a one-time purchase that keeps working without a subscription — is coming for facilities who want that certainty in writing, and the terms are already published in section 4a of our Terms of Service.
